Founded in 1830, the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) is a world centre for geography: supporting research, education, expeditions and fieldwork, and promoting public engagement and informed enjoyment of our world.

Since 2010 the RGS has supported our research and expeditions with advice, contacts, and funding. Our first expedition – the Murung Raya Expedition 2010/11 – was awarded the prestigious Neville Shulman Challenge Award, and we have since been awarded Geographic Fieldwork Grants.

We always have a presence at the RGS Explore event in November each year, and we have worked with the RGS to provide seminars and lectures or topics such as fundraising and camera trapping.

We have also been featured on the RGS Hidden Journeys project, which looks at what’s happening on the ground beneath you as you fly around the world.
